The goal of the Task Force on International Collaboration is to develop a practical training environment and share procedures that promote and enhance international research collaboration between Japan and the rest of the world.
Three core aims will drive both internal and external activities:
Sharing skills, knowledge and experiences facilitates the development of international partnerships.
Advertising of research activities and quality facilities, along with the establishment of academic exchange programs in cooperation with the departments for foreign affairs of member organizations and funding agencies, helps to accelerate the development of international partnerships.
Promotion of active global communication and the circulation of talented research administrators encourages international collaboration.

BUILDING A GATEWAY BETWEEN JAPAN AND THE WORLD
Recognizing the value of international collaboration in promoting interdisciplinary research, the Research University Network of Japan (RUNJ) has established Gateway, an email-based information circulation system that aims to improve opportunities for national and international partnerships. Emails about potential partnership opportunities are delivered via Gateway to RUNJ member universities, and interested scientists and/or research development specialists who can then respond immediately to the sender.
THE ADVENT OF A NEW AGE OF
INTERNATIONAL COLLABORATIVE RESEARCH DEVELOPMENT!
Strong cooperation among research development specialists is critical to success in international research projects, especially when it comes to attracting funds. RUNJ is optimistic that Gateway will be a driving force in bringing Japanese research administrators into the heart of global research development activities.
GET PLUGGED IN!
